An exciting nature experience for the whole family
Our national park rangers know the Thayatal like the back of their hands and offer a fascinating insight into the wonders of nature: watch a black stork, experience the forest like real feral cats, take a close look at every bug or simply walk barefoot through the grass - nature is pure adventure.
2 programs are available:
- Pooling: Splattering, splashing, hitting with stones... Equipped with magnifying glass and net, we explore stream fleas, caddisfly larvae and other aquatic animals in Kajabach. Afterwards we walk to the river, send self-made boats on a long journey and enjoy a picnic at the Thaya.
- Eye to eye with the feral cat: We hike along the feral cat adventure trail to the Einsiedlerwiese on the Thaya and learn a lot about the way of life of the shy forest cat in a playful way and with all our senses. Finally, we watch the two enclosure cats Frieda & Carlo feeding.
